How We Vet Stylists

Every stylist in our network goes through the same review process:

Portfolio review. We look at real work — not just their best Instagram posts. Before-and-afters in natural lighting on a range of hair types. If their portfolio only shows one hair type, we note the specialty and match accordingly.

Client references. We talk to actual clients. Not the ones the stylist hand-picks — the ones we find through reviews and referrals. We ask about consistency, honesty, pricing transparency and how they handle things when something goes wrong.

Specialty verification. A stylist who says they "do everything" usually doesn't do anything exceptionally well. We identify each stylist's true strengths — whether that's hand-tied extensions, corrective color, natural hair braiding, or bridal work — and match based on those verified specialties.

Pricing transparency. We confirm that our stylists give clear, upfront pricing before any service. No surprise charges. No "well, since we're already here, we should also do..." upsells. The price you're quoted is the price you pay.

Clean workspace. Basic but important. Licensed, clean, organized. Tools sanitized between clients. Products stored properly. If the space doesn't look professional, the work usually isn't either.
